NEW! IFR Competency Course
Don't let winter weather keep you from flying! Signal's Instrument Competency Program features our brand new Elite PI-135 sim trainer and is designed to help you gain and/or maintain IFR proficiency. Completion of the course will also qualify you for basic "Wings" credit. You'll increase flight safety and may even save money on insurance! The course includes:

• 5 simulator sessions in our NEW PI-135 AATD (10 hours total)
• 2 aircraft sessions (4 hours total)
• 3 ground courses done at your own pace

Instrument Training
Signal's Instrument Rating curriculum is is quite sophisticated and includes many advantages not available in other programs.  Our late model aircraft are equipped with IFR certified GPS systems and digital autopilots capable of coupled approaches to decision altitude on precision approaches.  Click here for a detailed list of our training aircraft's' installed equipment.

Our FAA approved Flight Training Device is used for many lessons, reducing training costs considerably.   

The ground portion of our instrument course utilizes Cessna's training materials with a home-study format on a series of DVD's.  Students complete academic lessons at home on a computer. The flying portion of the curriculum coordinates closely with the ground portion.
